Sirru Fen Fushi (the ‘secret water’ island) is a tropical paradise in the north of the Maldives with pristine white sandy beaches and lush vegetation along the turquoise ocean edge.
SCSY studio was engaged to renovate the partially built resort on this island into a 5-star luxury destination. Our approach was to work with the existing built structures, infusing them with character and life to create a rustic, casual and eclectic tropical island escape.
The resort is characterized by a dramatic main pool that spans both sides of the island, surrounded by key public areas that form the heart of the island. The structures are designed to be as sensitive and natural as possible to respect the island’s original ecology.
